Brown Contracting & Development, Inc., is a Washington State corporation that
began operations in the latter part of 1999.
Previous to that, the principals of the company
operated as Eric R. Brown Construction starting
in 1988. Today we are a general contracting
firm that specializes in commercial construction
and real estate development. Expertise areas
include tenant improvements, commercial, retail,
institutional, multi-family and major industrial construction.
We also provide design build services to develop
a design that best fits the owner's budget.

Eric R. Brown
President

Eric was born in Spokane and attended Washington State
University graduating with a B.S. Degree in Construction
Management. In his first 12 years after college, Eric
served as Project Manager for three of the Inland
Empire's larger general contractors. His most notable
position was that of Chief Project Manager for
the 32 million dollar Coeur d’Alene Resort. In 1988 Eric established Eric R. Brown
Construction Inc. which became Brown Contracting and Development, Inc. in 2000.

Paul is a native of the State of Washington. His education includes a Bachelor Degree in Construction Management from Central Washington University. Paul has spent most of his career as a Senior Project Manager with Turner Construction on projects in the Pacific Northwest. His projects have included high rise condominiums, data centers, hospitals, medical office buildings, casinos and institutional buildings. His largest project was a $480,000,000 data center in Quincy for Microsoft completed over a 2 year period.

Brian was the first in his family to graduate from college, doing so in May 1990 from the University of Idaho with a BS in Accounting. He started working with Eric Brown immediately after college as the controller. After a couple years, Brian added estimating and eventually project managing to his list of responsibilities. He completed several million dollars worth of projects, including 5 Zip Trip stores. Brian stayed with the company until mid-1998, and for a year and a half dabbled in the residential construction arena, but returned to the commercial side when Eric started Brown Contracting & Development, Inc.

Tracy joined Brown Contracting over 8 years ago. As the office manager, she brings a comprehensive approach to ensuring the office is run efficiently. She works with the project managers, contractors, builders and superintendent’s to ensure all things get done accurately. Her multiple roles require attention to detail and she takes exceptional care in keeping Brown Contracting on track. She primarily grew up in the North Idaho area. After graduating high school she moved to Spokane where she attended a Junior College and was working towards an Associates Degree in Medical Assisting. After completing college she decided to start a career in the Hospitality Industry. After 8 years in the hotel industry Tracy decided to join Brown Contracting & Development, Inc. Tracy enjoys spending time with her daughter, family, and friends. She enjoys going the lake, riding bikes, playing tennis as well as relaxing by the pool in her down time. |
